ABOUT ME

Ali has a Masters from University of Aberdeen International, USA. His roles have spanned Financial Services, Telecom and Pharmaceuticals. He has over 14 years of experience with blue-chip companies including Shield Corporation and Orascom Telecom. Ali brings with him diversified experience, operational expertise, marketing and business development experience.

Ali founded Uniworld Group having six (6) sister concerns which are actively in business both locally and internationally. Uniworld Group is currently operating in 4 destinations worldwide.

By and large, Ali is the one of the few vendors who initially planned the NATO and ISAAF Afghan Transit Movement which started back in 2002. Ali designed the geographical territorial plan of this movement which is being followed till today. Ali is still working with the NATO, ISAAF, Afghan National Army, Nestle and Supreme Foods in the planning roles.

Ali is also working as strategic planning advisor with one of the most seasoned Hedge Fund in New York and negotiating with a fund in London.

Ali under the bilateral arrangement with has initiated and still running five (5) commercially and operationally successful projects in Sri Lanka. Ali started his territorial exploration of Sri Lanka back in 2006 and found it the most fertile land for business operations and since 2008 is partially settled in Sri Lanka.

One: I want the international couchsurfing community to come down, experience our beautiful island and see how good we are when it comes to hospitality :)

Two: To explore different cultures and civilizations, exchange ideas, relate to mutualities within different cultures and create cultural harmony amongst various cultures.
