About Me
Hi! My name is Kiana Nakamura (which means village center in Japanese but that's neither here nor there). I grew up in LA but moved down to San Diego to get my degree in nursing. I just graduated in December (woot!) and now work as a nurse in an emergency department.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
There are few things I love more than traveling. Part of that experience I feel is to meet new people along the way. When you travel and stay in hotels, you're only getting one side of the experience. What's missing is how real people and locals experience that community. And I feel that is the beauty of couchsurfing. Because it's so much more real.
Interests
When I'm not working crazy shifts, I like to rock climb, bike, backpacking, snorkel ski, find excuses to dogsit for an adorable Australian Shepherd/Cattle Dog mix named Dixie, try cooking new foods, rummaging through record shops, surfing, or anticipating the next episode of the Walking Dead.

What I Can Share with Hosts
I have been working on the perfect oatmeal raisin cookie recipe (it involves toasting the oats and pecans beforehand, golden raisins, aggressive use of spices, and a butter to everything else ration that some might find offensive). I would love to share =)
