I'm an Australian, living in Germany. I grew up surrounded by my animals and nature, and somehow I've ended up in the big crazy amazing city of Berlin.

I've got so many interests, I love writing stories and poetry, doing yoga, and I've recently become addicted to bouldering...I love it! I'm an outdoorsy type and love the beach and sunshine and camping. However, I love the city for the sense of community, that my friends live so close by and that everything is possible within a short walk of where I live.

I've worked as a zookeeper, taking Australian animals into school and kindergartens and educating kids about environmental conservation, but now I work as a technical writer, honing some of my freelance writing skills. I'm a voracious reader, a great cook, and love to craft things and paint.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Having recently moved from Australia to Germany, I'd like to take advantage of the close neighbouring countries and travel more around Europe in my time off work.

I'm relatively new to couch surfing, I guess I've been a bit shy. But now my boyfriend and I are doing some travel together, I'm convinced couch surfing could be the best way to experience a new city.

Interests

I love yoga in the mornings, camping on the beach and playing with my horses amongst our tree filled property, or lying in the hammock in summer, swimming in our local waterfall or doing yoga in the morning sun. I've been travelling a fair bit, all thanks to love, I am enthusiastic to experience more of the cultures of the world. I grew up in rural Australia, on a farm, but now live with my boyfriend in the vibrant city of Berlin, Germany.

In the city, I go bouldering every week, attend a monthly women's writing group, go to lots of open mic's to support my partner (who's a full-time musician). I enjoy going to the markets, having a seriously good coffee, seeing live music and occasionally performing my poetry at spoken word events.

Travelled 1,500km with my horse from VIC, to QLD in Australia. Best road trip ever.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can offer tips on yoga, horseriding and animal behaviour, using garden plants as medicine, as well as some crafty techniques like weaving or knitting or leatherwork.

Come hiking or rock climbing?

Would never say no to learning how to cook a good meal with local ingredients from the place I'm visiting.
