ABOUT ME

My name is Kiara Mereghetti,I am 30 years old, originally from Milan but have been living in New York city for the past 10 years. I have a really strong bond with NYC, it is the place that holds my heart. It's where I started to discover myself and because of it , it represents my growth as a woman as an individual of the world. I call it my home because I think home is ultimately the place where you find your self. I have been involved with dance throughout my whole life,initially as a hobby than more so as a profession. I have struggled with dance it self for years mostly because I never knew how to have a healthy relationship with it-Due to lack of confidence and awareness I stopped dancing 2.5 years ago when it felt like I could not take the pressure I used to put on myself in relation to it anymore.
With some retrospective, I have definitely learned to understand how dance has been the reflection of the relationship I have been having with myself for the longest-I loved it and hated it the way I have loved and hated myself since childhood- I started to practice Bikram yoga 4 years ago, at the time I was still dancing and I completely fell in love it it - I have decided to take my yoga experience to the next level and decided to get certified to teach and I have been teaching since the last June 12-
In the past 10 years in NYC I have done what New Yorkers do - do whatever ( that is legal - LOL) to pay bills and survive the concrete jungle- I baby sit, love the experience and joy kids bring to life, they have and still keep the child inside of me alive- I teach Italian, I write, I model for artistic projects on the side, for extra cash , for fun and because thru the eyes of an other artist I always find and discover new things about myself. At the moment my main focus is to teach Bikram Yoga as much as possible, become a strong teacher and travel the world- NYC is what keeps me going , my fuel but the world is there to be traveled- There is an italian saying that goes " il mondo e' paese" ( which even if not literally means -the world is one country-) I wish the world was a place where we all could live where we wanted with no territorial borders but the sky and the oceans. The world is one, we are one.
I am all for self-discovery, sharing joys,fears, fantasies and bonding with the inner mystical side of ourselves thru the enriching experience of bonding with others -:)
