CURRENT MISSION

I am a student at the University of Oregon studying Planning, Public Policy & Management, Environment Studies, and Food Studies. I love exploring and meeting new people!

PHILOSOPHY

Every human has intrinsic value and something to contribute to the world. Every human has a unique perspective created by their cultural and practical upbringing, parents, genetics, etc. I want to meet and get to know as many different people as possible to expand my views and ways of thinking about things. Have gone through various phases of being strongly influenced by the writings of Nietzche, John Rawls, and James Madison.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I stayed for a few nights in Florence with a great host I met on Couchsurfing, and with two great guys in Mexico City. Can't wait to meet more great people!

Interessen

I love to swim in the ocean/sea/river, play frisbee, garden, hike and spent time outdoors, and do crossword puzzles at coffee shops. But most of all, I love traveling!

Musik, Filme und Bücher

I love rap music. Particularly YG and Drake. Of course other rappers like Kendrick Lamar, ASAP Rocky, and Biggie Smalls.

I'm really into American writers. Been on a big Tom Wolfe kick recently. Other writers who I love are Haruki Murakami, Hemingway, and Charles Bukowski. Most recently read John Kennedy Toole's A Confederacy of Dunces and just started a book of short stories by JD Salinger.

For movies my favorite directors are Wes Anderson and Quintin Terantino. I always love getting exposed to new culture, movies, books or music.

Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe

The most beautiful thing I've ever seen was the sunrise in Venice. I got off the train around 5 AM and walked onto the main bridge over the Canal Grande. The sun was a blood orange fireball right above the water. I will never forget that.

I cook really delicious vegetarian/vegan food, and would love to make a meal for you! I always have a good time no matter what, and my enthusiasm is contagious...you're guaranteed a good time and an adventure if you host me :~)
