About Me

CURRENT MISSION

ABOUT ME

I live in a village in the western part of Lower Austria and I work as an engineer at a big company in Amstetten.
I'd say I'm not an incredibly extraordinary person, but I have an opinion on most things and I really enjoy interesting discussions.
My greatest passion is cycling. Sounds boring, I know, but I love being in the nature, moving by my own strength, silently and sometimes pretty fast. When I roam on my bike, I feel free, I alone control the pace, get engrossed in thoughts and see things from another perspective. It takes me to places I'd otherwise not bother about and makes me see things I wouldn't see through the windscreen of a car.
Apart from that I'm interested in music and literature and I'm always open to things other than mainstream.
I think that I'm a calm person, and that I'm reliable and honest.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I surfed couches on my bicycle trip across the United States and met many amazing people. I feel deep gratitude for all the hospitality and kindness I experienced, and I think it's the best way to actually meet the people of a country instead of just travelling through.
Also, the people I've hosted so far were fantastic, and the stories they have shared with me made my life richer too.

Interests

It makes me sad to see how we waste the natural resources of our planet and keep on living like there's no tomorrow. Thus I try to live a sustainable life, as good as i can (and the more I think about it, the more I notice how complex and difficult it is, and how everything is connected to everything else). I'm also into science and nature, down to the chemistry of things.
