About Me
CURRENT MISSION
"I cannot rest from travel: I will drink Life to the lees"
ABOUT ME
I do theoretical physics for a living (most people consider me some sort of extra terrestrial being and switch off immediately after I tell them this), but sometimes like to indulge the other side of my brain too. I am very much into history, art and literature, and like to read, write, travel and talk to people whenever I get the chance. I will be moving to Israel soon, so if you are around and want to meet, I will be in Rehovot (a town near Tel Aviv!)
PHILOSOPHY
I am not out to murder people or destroy the world if that makes you feel better/safer. :) but "personal philosophy"? too deep a question for a web forum. I think this is best discussed over coffee.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I have been to (and hopefully helped out in) a couple of local CS meets in my town. I try to share information with travelers about places I have been to already. I have hosted once and been hosted twice : they were all very positive experiences.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
so far it's been positive, and I have got to meet some new and interesting people, ranging from jugglers to space scientists.
Interests
books, languages, maths, travel, soccer
I spend a lot of my time reading and thinking, and I consider myself very familiar with Western and Indian literature and philosophy. I dabble in writing and learning languages too, but mostly fail at the latter. Traveling, meeting new people and sharing knowledge with them is also something I look forward to.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
witnessed a double rainbow at Machu Pichhu,
had my shoes stolen in Agra while admiring the Taj Mahal, fought off a monkey attack near Chennai, India. ate a whole bowl of habanero hot sauce in Palenque, Mexico.
Teach, Learn, Share
I know a few Yoga positions, am competent at soccer, can teach you a few words of almost all world languages, help out with fun math puzzles, and would appreciate it if you can teach me anything about music, cooking or some kind of craft - since I majorly suck at those things. :)
