About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Since I've been living in Spain, I learned that the best way to get to know the real culture of a country is to know the people that live there. And there still are a lot of places to be seen, cultures to be discovered and people to get known to.

ABOUT ME

Talk about me, I always find it very hard, because I don't really know where to start. I guess u can say I have two very different sides to me, on the one hand I am a career person, wanting to learn a lot and having great ambitions.
On the other hand, there is a part of me that sometimes wants to quit her job and travel the world. Since I am convinced that traveling and learning about different cultures, helps you grow as a person, I guess I am trying to combine my two sides the best possible way I can ;-)
11/2015: I just thought I'd update my profile by saying I still have those two sides but since May 2014 the most important part of me is my son ;-)

PHILOSOPHY

Happiness is not a station you arrive at, but a manner of traveling!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

By now have hosted and surfed couches around the world (mainly Europe). Not doing either one of them anymore but without hosting or surfing, but just going out for a drink with cs'ers, have made some true friends by now! So decided to keep my profile because I truly believe in the CS philosophy.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

For me, couchsurfing is also a way of helping out people and being helped out, because when first arriving in a different country, it's always good to know there were people before you who have done the same and that can share their experience, just like I can share mine!

Interests

Foreign and mainly southern food.
Literature.
Buildings, old, modern, inside and outside, I love visiting buildings.
