Overview
About Me
I am currently a college student studying at the University of Minnesota in Duluth. After I finish my bachelors degree there, I plan to go to law school. But I'm studying at Aix Marseille University this semester.
You'll find me outdoors as often as I can as I enjoy most activities in the elements. At home, I regularly rock climb, hike, and canoe, but I'm always up to try new things in new places. Although, anywhere I go, I will strive to find the highest quality of coffee in the city, indoors or out.
I like to plan things, but am also flexible when plans change. I'm quite outgoing and good at conversation with most people even if I have never met them. I like to talk about books, philosophy, traveling and different cultures, and I love to listen to what others are passionate about and how they spend their life. Getting to know others, especially of cultures other than my own, is really interesting to me and I try to ask good questions to learn the most I can from other people. I enjoy a good philosophical conversation as I tend to think about the world and its people a lot.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Starting in August, I will be traveling around Europe until December this year. I've never used couchsurfing before, but I'm excited to connect with other people around Europe as I travel this fall. I hope to experience as much of each culture that I encounter as I can and I think having a host a few nights will help me to get to know cities better and get to know people doing real life things in each place I visit.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music is really important to me. I sing in a folk band and play a few instruments on my own time (ukulele and piano) so I would love to jam with other musicians. I like almost all music, but mostly listen to indie folk or classical music.

Teach, Learn, Share
I think a lot about how each person's culture has shaped the individual. It's interesting to me to learn about different cultures and get to know people of those cultures at a personal level. That's how one should travel to really see the world, not to merely tour and see the popular sights.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I'm quite clean so I won't leave any messes. I would love to listen to your travel stories and share a few of my own! And if you have the time and are so inclined, I would love for you to show me a bit of your city as I enjoy to spend time getting to know the other.
