About Me

I want to see as much of the world as I can. I'm a zoologist and a conservationist and I really try to live this passion. I lived in Costa Rica working with sea turtles for 4 months in 2016 and loved it. I lived in Australia for 2 years and worked for Conservation Volunteers Australia and Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service. Just returned to the UK after 2 years in Canada and the USA.

"The greatest threat to our planet is the belief that someone else will save it."

Hiking through mountains and up volcanoes, along forest trails and lake shores.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

The strangers I've met through travelling have often turned out to be some of the kindest and funniest people I've come across. I love the sense of community and care between surfers and hosts.

Unfortunately I don't own my own place right now, so can't offer my house up to surfers. One day though I definitely will, always give back when you get the chance.

Interests

I coached gymnastics in the UK and Australia and really miss it.

Music, Movies, and Books

Harry Potter. A Song Of Ice And Fire/Game of Thrones. His Dark Materials. The Lion King. The best film, ever.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Overnight hike up Volcan Baru in Panama to see the sunrise over the Caribbean and Pacific. Hardest and most rewarding thing I've done. And I'm aiming to beat it.

Teach, Learn, Share

I want to know how to say "cheers" in as many languages as I can.

I can almost hold a (very slow) conversation in spanish.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I make a pretty good chilli.
