My name is Kieran Okerstrom, and I'm studying abroad in the UK for the 2016-2017 academic year. I'm looking to meet some people in Germany and learn more about German culture. Some day, I'd like to live outside of the US, so I'm exploring the world to learn about different cultures that might suit me best!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

For me, it's been difficult to travel around because I've been trapped in the landlocked state of Iowa. Now that I'm in Europe, I'd like to go to as many places as I can. I'm not really interested in tourist attractions, and I think local people know the best places to go. Couch surfing is a great way to make these connections!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have never been given much opportunity to travel until now, so the most amazing thing I've done is write thousands of lines of code over the summer during an internship. Hopefully couch surfing can make the answer to this question more interesting!
