About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To set up a restaurant in Bristol early in 2012. Learn Spanish, and more about the food and culture of Spain.
ABOUT ME
We are 27 years old with a shared passion for food and travel.
We both grew up in Bristol, UK and have been together 9 years before getting married and embarking on a year long 'honeymoon.' One last blast before we go back home and set up a business!
I heard about couch surfing on our last big trip in 2007 to South and Central America from a German guy I met. We were really interested in it but unfortunately never got around to doing anything about it.
We are interested in surfing and hosting upon our return to Bristol, or if we end up getting a place somewhere in Australia. Bristol is a great city that I'm very passionate about and would love to share with friends. Anything form a spit and saw dust cider pub to a good restaurant, the famous Bristol City FC to a tour of the floating harbor...
We are easy going people looking to meet friends, share experiences and have fun. Interested in food and drink, socializing, travel, people and sport (well I'm into sport and Imo is very glad that the football world cup is now over... Bring on Brazil 2014!)
PHILOSOPHY
Be happy in life - eat, drink and be merry!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Got married! We arranged the whole thing ourselves so it was completely tailor made for us. Our friends Cheffed and did the bar, and we spent loads of time in the build up going to suppliers to sample good food's for the meal or pick wines and spirits. Other friends came to the venue in the days leading up to the wedding to help decorate, set up lighting, make signs, build a stage for the bands and music etc or help with anything that needed doing.
I think we were most looking forward to the meal and the party but actually the service was one of the most amazing experience of my life, which sounds like a cliché because let's be honest they're usually boring... But it was great!
Teach, Learn, Share
Imo enjoys teaching friends about cooking. Mediterranean style or British food... Can probably add Indian to that list now she's just spent 3 weeks intensively learning about the food. We'd both be interested in learning cooking techniques or recipes from other cultures. We'd definatley like to learne Spanish language.
We both have a good knowledge of Bristol, the city we are from and have plenty of info to share about it.
