Hi! I'm Kika and I'm a portuguese living in the spanish country side of Extremadura. I live with my family and we live according to nature's rythm. We have chickens and there's pigs and cows all around us. We also have our little food garden and we love to recolect mushrooms, seasonal fruits, plants and nuts.
We refurbish and reacreate furniture and decoration items for a living (you can see our work on our website (www.fabulasenmadera.es) and we are both artists. Jaime studied fine arts (painting, photography, sculpture, etc) and I love to paint and dance.
We have traveled a lot and lived in different places like London, Amsterdam and California. We also were in Mexico for 3 mounths learning natural building and we built our own little house while we were living in California.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Because I always prefer to be and learn with locals about nice places to visit, the country culture and stories, food, etc. I also like to do something useful during my travels, so I'm open to suggestions if you need help in anything!

Interests

My dream at this moment of my life is to create a beutiful farm where I can also make it a place so people can learn different skills through workshops and activities like gardening, being self-sufficient, making artistic pieces with recycled materials, etc.
I also want to learn more about medicinal plants and carpentry.
