ABOUT ME

I am a good-natured adventurer, open to new experiences of all kinds. I am a strange mix of free spirit and type A, though I'm currently working on freeing myself of my American need to be perfect, and letting myself just be messy! I value presence, kindness and open-mindedness over all else. Being human is hard for everyone, and I always try to give people the benefit of the doubt.

Last summer I left a cushy but stressful life in San Francisco to find a slower pace. Since then, I have been traveling in Southeast Asia and India, supporting myself with online editing and design jobs. Through my travels, I have developed a love for ecstatic dance and contact improv, and I have learned the importance of being in my body. I do a lot of yoga and meditation, though I'm still exploring which practices best resonate with me. I'm in a period of transition, which I can best describe as "finally growing up." I am currently exploring different options in terms of lifestyle and career, and I am considering living abroad full-time. I would love to be exposed to new areas and communities. I am incredibly open-minded and nonjudgmental, and I enjoy meeting people who are fully themselves and will accept me as I am.

While I've had a profile on here for quite a few years, I've never actually used it, which makes me a complete newbie. Right now, as I'm living as a nomad, I will be using the site to find potential places to stay and people to meet. Once I've settled in a place (likely next year), I look forward to being able to return the favor.

Interesses

I love activities that allow me to be fully present in my body: ecstatic dance, contact improv, body surfing, massages :)

I have a competitive streak and enjoy games of all kinds, from board games to bar games to sports.

I enjoy things that push my boundaries and scare me a bit: bungee jumping, cliff diving, awkward conversations.

Everything is Illuminated. The Rosy Crucifixtion. Anything by Kim Addonizio, Matthew Dickman, or Rilke.
