About Me

I have been teaching English, art, and music in a rural area elementary school for the past 3 years through the pandemic, and basically located myself in the quiet, beautiful town where I am living now, I am leaping to the next chapter of my life in 2023 summer, going to study in a graduated school, expecting to spend more time on writing and creating, and of course, not forgetting to dance and celebrate life when it's time.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I stop using CS for few years, I have hosted quite some people, and stayed with few, mostly positive experience.
I like the feeling of seeing an unfamiliar city in not a just completely stranger's perspectives, like a short cut to know it slightly better. I think that's pretty cool.

Interests

I love art, body movement, great festivals, surrounded by creative loving people.
I love being in natural and encountering wild lives. East coast of Taiwan is just wonderful for a living, easily spend whole day by the riversides or hike in the valleys, mountain trails, or woods.
I enjoy solitude and socializing in a healthy sense.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love classical and experimental music , I listen to pop music too.
Movies: "Tick, Tick... Boom!", "Pulp Fiction, Portrait de la jeune fille en feu", "Manchester by the Sea", "The Banshees of Inisherin", "Malcolm & Marie"...
Recently I enjoyed reading A Gentleman in Moscow and Rules of Civility by Amor Towles; Anything is Possible by Elizabeth Strout; La Place by Annie Ernaux, The Myth of Normal by Gabor Mate; and I love Born a Crime by Trevor Noah, Tender at the Bone by Ruth Reichl...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Moved to the east coast before the pandemic.
Accidentally babysat a baby monkey for a weekend and rescued an injured house swift within couple weeks.
One time I saved a neighborhood dog from a trap while jogging without my glasses on. I wish much less traps around though.
