About Me

CURRENT MISSION

to build a world wide network of contacts!

If you don’t have references or are not verified please don’t request to stay with me. I’ve noticed these people tend to cancel more and aren’t reliable guests.

ABOUT ME

My biggest fault is being shy when I first meet someone. Guests who stay with me think I'll be chatty and excited to meet them. The later may be true but not the first. Please remember that. If you send a request, please mention that you've read and are aware of that. I like to go out and have fun, but it usually takes a bit at first to get me in the mood. Perhaps I'm just a late night person. I'm not usually one to break the ice either. I'm also a dual citizen between Luxembourg and the United States.

PHILOSOPHY

"It's easier to hear when people don't shout so loud."

Music, Movies, and Books

The Sweetest Thing, The rocky horror picture show.

The Secret Life of Bees, The picture of Dorian Grey.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Wrote a few professional mathematics papers and presented them at an International Conferences in Montreal, Canada and Toronto, Canada. The movie the Smurfs 2 was filming on sight in Montreal at the time and the crew allowed me to be an extra in the background of the last scene.

I ran across the plaza in Volterra, Italy at high noon, just like in the Twilight TV series.

I spent two months backpacking across Europe in 1999. I spent a week in Umbria, Italy hiking St Francis' of Assisi's meditation trails in 2011 and also spent a week hiking in the hills of Toscany, Italy.

I attended Barack Obama's first inauguration.

I've visited Siberia, Russia....in winter.

I sang the national anthem before a Washington Nationals game (MLB) many times. I've performed on stage at the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C. three times as well as Lincoln Center in New York City once as well as live on national television for the Today Show.

I sang back-up for Margaret Chou at the National Theater in Washington, D.C.

I was on the stage behind George W. Bush when he announced his initial presidential campaign run. (it was a favor for my friend when I was in college) The benefit for me was that I got to meet Cokie Roberts.

I sang on the same stage as Lady Gaga at the National Marriage Equality rally in Washington, DC. (My picture is from there)

I attended a world premier of an opera and had a friend in the cast.

I've skydived out of an airplane at 13,000 feet above the ground. I also have dual citizenship with the United States and the European Union.

I studied in Mannheim, Germany as an undergraduate and St Petersburg, Russia as a graduate student.

I acted as a temporary father to an exchange student from Thailand while he was here for high school in 2014-2015. I also hosted three separate students from Germany.

I've traveled internationally as an agent of the United States Government.

I've also swam with dolphins off the coast of Honduras.

I got stuck on a roller coaster in six flags America.

I have four college degrees, including two master's degrees.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can offer space for 1 person, possibly two in my spare room as well as free wifi and as many possible answers to your questions as I have information. I also have towels to use.
