Overview
About Me
Lover of the southwestern United States. I live in the unparalleled beauty of the Four Corners, where the states of Colorado, Utah, New Mexico, and Arizona all meet. Living among the San Juan Mountains, it's only a short distance to some of the most unique desert areas in the world. When possible, I spend my weekends in canyon country in southern Utah or head down around Albuquerque, NM to visit with friends. When there is snow, I spend my time skiing up around the lake by my house up at 8,000 ft.

Music, Movies, and Books
Musical tastes range wildly. Love science fiction and old horror novels and films, especially anything and everything involving Vincent Price, Kurt Vonnegut, and Orson Scott Card. Recent interests include medieval European history & culture. I am a language sponge, speaking Spanish fluently, French moderately well, and a handful of others that I become involved in learning with passing vigor.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Summitted my first 14er - one of Colorado's numerous 14,000-ft mountains.
Teach, Learn, Share
Well-rounded in the history and culture of the native peoples that populated the Four Corners. I know where to go, off of the beaten path, to find surprisingly well-preserved cultural artifacts from the Ancestral Puebloans, otherwise known as "Anasazi". I can be your guide to the artifacts, structures, and petroglyphs still found today in canyon country. I can identify many desert plants and am an amateur rockhound who can point out some minerals and introduce some of the geological history of the area.
