About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To always be open to new opportunities. To actually be able to have a conversation in Spanish.

PHILOSOPHY

I used to live with the motto "The un-examined life is not worth living." Essentially that's still relevant. I'm a skeptic, an absurdist, an epicurean, an agnostic and an atheist either all at once or in turns.

Nowadays though, I think my motto is something more like “You will never be happy if you continue to search for what happiness consists of. You will never live if you are looking for the meaning of life.”

But I guess there's still room for both living and thinking!

Music, Movies, and Books

Oh dang...

Music: Bod Dylan, Velvet Underground, Lou Reed, Kinks, Pixies, Tom Waits, Sage Francis, Tom Waits, Dose One...
Books: John Steinbeck, James Joyce, Naked Lunch, Henry Miller, Vonnegut, Doubt, Isaac Asimov, Freeman Dyson.

Movies!!! Too many.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I went skydiving once. Pretty fun! The only hard part was letting go of the plane.

Teach, Learn, Share

I know bicycle repair and maintenance. At home I have the tools, so if yereva in the area with a repair need... I'm a fair handyman and know a little about construction and a lot about woodworking, furniture, and can talk architecture and design.
I can teach games too! Pretty good at cribbage, dominoes, backgammon, mediocre at chess, and willing to learn any game! I can also thread a sewing machine.
