I love to travel the world and in my experience meeting new people (local if possible) is the best way to get to know places.. for example I find hitchhiking to be one of the best means of travel and couchsurfing seems like a sort of accommodation version of it :P
I've been extremely lucky with this approach so far and I would like to explore more. Until I find a place of my own to do the same I can offer stories of my travels and warm and grateful character as well as help with whatever I might be able to help with :) peace!
