Overview
About Me
I’m a young and laid back free spirit from Austria, doing what I love to do most - traveling the world. I prefer leading a simple lifestyle... I‘m the kind of guy who sits cozily by the window and watches the rain pouring outside and reads a good book or two every now and then. I aspire to free myself from my ego, evolve to a higher self and spread love and positivity around. I want to make people smile and laugh, inspire others and just be myself.
Over the last few years, I've felt a strong urge to go out and explore the world and all the beauty it has to offer. Nothing gives me more joy than experiencing a foreign country - meeting new like minded people and making some lasting friendships, trying out the local cuisine, and enjoying different landscapes and cultures. I'm always excited for my next adventure... That’s the stuff I live for.
My current mission on this daring adventure we call life is making new friends, having plenty of once in a lifetime experiences, pushing myself outside of my comfort zone, and learning about some of the hidden gems that mainstream travelers sadly miss out on...
I strongly believe that Couchsurfing is an amazing way of doing true cultural exchange and getting the inside scoop into the places I visit. The more I travel the more I broaden my horizons and become worldly and tolerant...

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I want to make friends from diverse backgrounds and bring new cultures right to my doorstep, and Couchsurfing is a genius way of doing it. It has the potential to connect you with like minded people from foreign lands. Much of the world is incredibly materialistic and they define their lives by their materialistic possessions, but I, on the other hand, live for experiences! One of these days, if luck would have it, I might rent a houseboat and sail across a gigantic Asian river or go on a cross country road trip in the Australian outback... Or perhaps stay with a local primitive tribe in the Amazon rainforest... Who knows! The possibilities are endless :)
Interests
I enjoy good food, going around and exploring random places, hanging out with good friends and having a good time. I'm also very open to trying out various forms of extreme sports from surfing, skydiving and kitesurfing to scuba diving and such 🏄🌊

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: I'm pretty much open to a lot of different genres. I'm always up for listening to something new.
Movies: I love movies that get me thinking from Inseption, Interstellar and the matrix to Into the Wild and V for Vendetta
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Amazing? Well, I'm still in the midst of collecting experiences! So far... I backpacked solo through Morocco & Jordan and crossed a few deserts... Got to see some cool desert landscapes with red sand and weirdly shaped rock formations looking so mind blowing like the surface of Mars... I don't know if that counts, but it was one sick experience and it was rather meaningful to me personally.
Teach, Learn, Share
My existence is a lifelong learning journey. Couchsurfing the way I see it is about all three - sharing, teaching and learning from one another. I'm always up for learning new stuff, swaping stories and sharing thoughts! I want to get to know people who were raised differently and experience life through a different set of eyes. Don't know where I'll end up or what the future has in store for me, but I'm excited for all the life lessons I'm going to learn...
