Hello!
I am Kiliane, a 26 year-old young woman with a strong desire to wander and explore the world. I left my hometown in the south of France and my job as a bookseller three years ago to embrace an exciting and adventurous path. I started my journey on the other side of the world, in New Zealand and Australia. I did different backpackers jobs on the way, made great experiences with woofing and HelpX families. I hitchhiked on long distances for the first time, gained self-confidence and courage, learnt a language and new skills. Above all, I made many good friends and even met love and a travel/life mate! Being on the road helped me to grow up, opened my mind and heart.
Today, after a few months enjoying home and family, we packed again. Our plan is to leave from our doorway and go towards the East. Hiking and hitchhiking through Europe, Middle East and Asia to reach Australia without taking any plane. We want to take our time, spend as little as possible to appreciate a simple way of living. Out of this crazy consuming routine, we want to learn again being closer to nature. We wish to meet other cultures, share stories, work, knowledge and good time too!
Our soul are butterflies-like. We enjoy simple things, taking time, wander around, make detours, get a bit lost and find things we weren’t looking for. But taking time doesn’t mean lazy: we like action, working hard, learn.
This precious time I have and this energy, I would like to use it for something good. I would like to help around me. Even a little help, washing the dishes, prepare a meal to cheer somebody up. And when time comes, find a bigger project. Catch the moment is today’s motto. We’ll see what tomorrow brings.
