About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Just two words. Aurora Borealis.

ABOUT ME

I'm born and raised in Singapore. A beautiful and photogenic country with many kinds of races living harmoniously together. I'm a Malay with a little of Chinese and Indian blood so I'm kinda blessed with a mix of everything.

I'm a Scorpio, born on Holloween's Night, the night where the veil between goodness and darkness is at its thinness.. So I'm sometimes good but when it's bad, its worse. Haha, nah, I'm kidding! I'm great with a lot of people, that's why I chose to work in the service industry ;-)

"I realise that It's easy, just plain easy to make fun of others and to think worst of others but what makes it much more difficult about being human is to find deep down in yourself to say good things to others."

PHILOSOPHY

" Why is it a gentleman always lets the ladies pass first before him, pull her chair out for her, stands up when a lady leaves the room, have impeccable table manners?"

Because he respects women and as to having tasteful table manners,it is to show respect to the people that he's dining with and to make them more comfortable.

I was watching this movie,A Blast from The Past, where a man lives in a bomb shelter throughout his entire 35 years of life with his parents since the 1950s.Then in the 1990s,the above world has changed, hookers lined up the streets looking for their next victims and adult shops starts to pop out and the thugs rule the streets and our young man here wishes to look for a wife and to settle down.
In the movie,he was charmingly boyish and curiously attracted to everything. His seemingly childlike view on the above world was totally refreshing and a girl started to fall in love with his old-world charming manners and respectful ways. They settle down in the end and he had to explain to his parents that the Holocaust War was over and they could be as normal people again.

I thought really long and hard about the whole movie and and I've wondered, why we throw away our old world traditions of courting, meeting of his or her parents before going on dates, having a chaperone when unmarried women went out with unmarried men..etc..

Well,everything is just random thoughts..

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I'm a newbie, green in terms of couch surfing experience but I've heard a lot it through webside and travelogues so I'm keen to expand my circle of friends and family!

Interests

watching sunsets. morroccan teas. bright printed colours. snake rings. a lopsided smile. the smell of morning air.
the moment when a plane is about to take off from the ground(unusual huh?). drawing portraits. russian vodkas(an obssession!). shooting stars. free-falling. red lipsticks. travelling and researching places. rain pouring on my face. the smiles of your loved ones. embracing and experiencing new cultures. sketching portraits, landscapes. observing people. leather boots. runny eggs. pillion rides. cliff-diving(thailand). adventurous activities. self-purity.

I love poetry, Sauvignon Blanc and Merlot wines, particularly from France and Chile, purple and red lipsticks, macabre writers and maverick artists, landscape photography and portraits, travelling spontaneously, steaks and fries, milkshakes and bubble teas, dark haunting melodies.

the fact that you're taking the time to read this :-)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

It was sunset and I'm with my bestfriend of 15 years, looking at the sun sets, up 15 storeys high, with ropes around our feet, with our hearts in our throat, our feet as cold as ice and adrenalin spiking.. Both of us are going to Bungee Jump and it's the most scariest thing I've ever done in my whole 20 years of life. . We jumped after 10 mins of prayers and litanies of " Am I freaking crazy to agree to this??" in my mind and it's the most heart searing and adrenalin rushing experience ever!! I realise that life was truly the most precious during that few seconds.. After that moment, the experience changes me profoundly. There's no turning back. I've became the members of a minority group in the whole world who have ever jump and still wish to do it again in a heartbeat.

I've been travelling steadily every few months.. That day I was in Bali, a paradise island in Indonesia, a land of the Gods.. I've went to only Asia countries, Thailand, Malaysia and Indonesia.. In the years to come, Europe and the exotic Meditteranean countries will be places that I will love to explore.. Do drop me some tidbits about your country when you visit my profile!
