About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Stop trying to live and start exploring what the world has to offer

ABOUT ME

Hi All!
I had few awesome experiences so far with couch surfing but I still consider myself fairly new to this. Now things have changed as we are two me and my beautiful and very recent wife, Arta.

I'm french and I spent almost 10 years in the Uk. I've started to travel properly the last five years and I'm just loving it! There are still so many parts of the world I want to see while I still can. Meeting people is definitely my main aim. I love meeting people sharing experiences about life and travel.
I always had two countries dreaming of visiting: Canada (done!!!) and New Zealand. I would probably wait a bit more for New-Zealand. I just spent a year in Tirana where I finally managed to host more and it was very cool. I am recently back in London and feel at home again. Now I am married and my wife has recently discovered the couchsurfing community and she is loving it...God so much has happened since I started my profile here!

Arta is albanian and she is completely new to this community. She is also fairly new to travelling but she is step by step embracing completely!

PHILOSOPHY

Better live with remorse than regrets and... our family motto: What is done is done!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I started to host more while I was in Tirana. Now back in London, we need to wait until we got our own place to start again.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I started in 2011 with my trip to Canada and it was all very good! I have met some awesome people and even when I didn't stay long, they were very welcoming. I also surfed few couches during my east european trip in 2012 and I'd say, so far, amazing experience. I'm looking forward to meet more people for my summer trip (which is becoming a tradition now...4 years in a row!!!) but in general every single one of my experience have been unique and so cool

Music, Movies, and Books

Usual Suspects, American History X, Braveheart, Ordinary Decent Criminal, American Beauty, Burn After Reading, Intouchable...

Jay-z, Eminem, Bob Marley, Damian Marley, Jim Murple Memorial, Gentleman, Patrice and a bit of French music (benoit doremus, tryo, zebda, francis cabrel, michel sardou...)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The most amazing thing I've done (which is proving I really need to see more of the world ;-) is hiking during two hours to a small village in the mountains in the middle of nowhere where there was no road to access this tiny little village and spent the night there by listening to a little reggae music festival with around 100 people who also did hike for two hours to come here and sleeping on the spot in a sleeping bag. Waking up in the morning with a blue sky and a nice weather with the most amazing view I've ever seen in front of me......

I have other good memories of my adventures and some are quite cool but this one is a very sweet memory ;-)

Teach, Learn, Share

I think I can share my passion for writing stories and I would love to learn or at least improve my spanish and maybe learn a new language...albanian?

What I Can Share with Hosts

We are happy to share what we have seen of the world and what it means to be married to someone with a completely different culture! We also love cooking :-)
