I am planing on travelling on my own for some time and it seemed like the perfect way to meet new people, discover cities through the eyes of the locals.

I am deeply in love with country music. It paints a picture of an easy and simple love between two people, as well as an awe for the beauty and uniqueness of the other person. However, I also love discovering all kinds of other genres.

Happy endings are my thing, be it in movies or books. I try to read all types of literary genres, but at the moment I am really into historical fiction.

I met a sloth in Amsterdam. As it was slowly and calmly making its way along the branch that crossed the path for visitors to walk on, it was only half a meter away from me. My jaw just dropped and I stopped breathing, not wanting to scare it off.

I bake all kinds of sweet things (cakes, muffins and cookies) on an regular basis. It is something that I find really soothing and satisfying at the same time. Through cooking, I am able to share with others.

In most recent weeks, I have learnt how to crochet. I can share that with you if you wish, and maybe even create something for you ! Although, I have to insert a disclaimer here, I am still a beginner so the result might be a bit funky.

I am hoping to be able to exchange life-experience with my host. I believe it is by talking with others and sharing each others knowledge that we are able to learn and grow the most while travelling in a foreign country. It is one of the most important things I am looking forward to during my time abroad.
