Hi, I'm Kim. I'm from a small city in the Netherlands called Leeuwarden. I studied Leisure Management because I love spending my time doing the things I love and explore the world around me. I'm always up for an adventure en learning new things everyday.

Even though I work 5 days a week, in my free time I love to read books, fitness, ride my bicycle, or participate in the activities my city offers.

I've been known for my insatiable curiosity for the world around me and saying there is no such thing as learning to much. My family instilled in me a love for traveling and exploring the world around me.

I know quite a bit about my own surroundings, but would love to learn more about cultures and customs from different countries and beliefs.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm on Couchsurfing because for 1 I heard a lot of positive things about it from my cousin who is a host as well as a couchsurfer for a few years now.
And 2 because I would like to meet new people from all corners of the globe.

The apartment I rent has two bedrooms and for a few years now I don't use my guestroom. Seeing as how I don't use this room and how I would like to meet new friends I think offering up my guest bedroom on Couchsurfing offers me the a great opportunity getting to know new people and learning new cultures.

Due to a financial set back a few years back, I don't have the luxury of traveling abroad as much as I would have liked. By offering my guest bedroom I hope I will be able to receive guest I can show a bit of the Dutch culture and in return learn about them. :)

Favorite books:
So many, that I find it hard right now to list them all. All in all I have about 300 books at home. Though a few authors I adore are:

My book collection mainly consists of fantasy books. I read a lot of English books.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One amazing thing I would like to do is go backpacking in the United States starting in San Francisco and go east towards Florida and up to Boston. Hopefully I'll be able to do this over over three years.
