About Me
Hi all! A couple years ago, I fell in love with Asia while teaching English in Korea. Last summer I returned to Asia to complete a Southeast Asia tour and explore India, and now I’m in Australia on my Working Holiday visa! Australia has been a big adventure where I worked office jobs as well as Workaways (doing everything from cooking at a yoga retreat to gardening at an alpaca farm). There were several months of hiking, hitchhiking, and camping through the outback, and as I’m finishing up my time in Brisbane I’m looking forward to hiking the South Island of the Te Araroa in New Zealand starting in January.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I’ve been meeting the most fantastic travelers on this trip, and I’m hoping to get a more local experience through couchsurfing. I’d like to meet new people and learn new things!
Interests
I like hiking and camping (pretty much anything outdoors), yoga, reading (I’m on a Asia kick with the books right now), and trying all the new foods. Also dogs. Also tacos.

Music, Movies, and Books
I’m a big book person, and I read a little bit of everything. I like to read books about the countries I’m traveling through, so I’ve just read “In a Sunburned Country” and “Tracks.”
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I hiked the Larapinta Trail in July, walking from Alice Springs to Mt. Sonder over 15 days. It was one of the hardest things I’ve ever done, and I rewarded myself with a LOT of TimTams.
