Hey guys, my name is Kim, its so nice to be part of this awesome community!
I am an overseas born chinese, from Mauritius ( its a real paradise trust me )
Also known as 毛里求斯 in mandarin, it is currently a hot place to visit for the Chinese market. I consider myself to be "African" since Mauritius is considered to be part of Africa, although I've never been to the African continent haha. 我是最白色的非洲人. So in short i am a Chinese looking African guy who speaks French! That would sum up real nice haha!

For the past 5 years I've been in Nanjing studying at Southeast University for my bachelor in Architecture. I've learned the ways of living in China and be used to all kinds of stuff happening here. My Chinese skills is decent and i just love typing in Chinese, so much fun and easy. I am currently doing my Masters in Shanghai. I've met many many friends all over the world during my 5 year stay here in China so far, friendships which i will cherish all my life. Met lots of people mainly from Australia, America, France, Germany, Korea, Bulgaria, Austria, Belarus and from China of course!

Visited Melbourne in 2014. Was great to meet some old friends from high school and a chance to catch up with them. Also got a chance to meet kangaroos. It has been a real experience for me to be in Australia.

Looking forward to visit Korea in a near future, since i've got many korean friends.

Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing

I am pretty sure spending time with locals in any context is way more rewarding and fun than travelling alone.

Going to Japan on January 11th 2017, staying about 2 weeks till 28th (Just before the Chinese New Year). I will need to attend a Seminar at Osaka University at some point for about 1 day. So I am looking on Couchsurfing as an alternative way to hostels during my trip to Japan. The main motive to do CS is to meet great people and share experiences, but also to save some bucks if its possible as my budget is quite limited!

I like playing guitar before going to sleep.
I don't and will never smoke but i do enjoy going to clubs once in a while and have some drinks.

Won a Scholarship to study at the Best Architecture School in China

Own a Pizza making business (yes we make near perfect thin crust italian pizza in shanghai, everything from pizza dough to takeaway boxes)

Swam with dolphins in mauritius, almost touched one! (it was like a meter away)

Been in China for 6 years and going.. Did many cools thinks like organizing language exchanges, students parties, music festivals (yes that was crazy but so rewarding- brought 150 people from shanghai to the mountains in Anji for a techno party in the hot springs)

I've designed and constructed a "furniture" to hold my 2 desktop monitors using drink cans and waste products.
