Very easy to talk to, friendly. Sociable but not a party person. I am not the person you stay with if you want to get drunk. A quiet bottle of wine over engaging conversation is more my idea of an enjoyable evening.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I should participate shouldn't I? I've been thinking about joining Couch Surfing for more than a year, but to tell you the truth I find sitting on the computer a complete waste of time, so it's taken me a long time to get this part started.
I don't check my emails everyday so I might take a while to reply.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My youngest daughter took me CouchSurfing in New Zealand, in 2010- she is at Uni, so we stayed with students- it was freezing so spent most of each visit snuggled up in my sleeping bag!
My eldest daughter left W.A. for the UK in 2007, she Couch Surfed her way around until she fell in love with her hosts son. He is now my son in law!
I picked up a hitch hiker 2 years ago, who was couch surfing her way around OZ, she spent the day with me, visiting beaches for my work, then I invited her to stay the night, the next day my partner gave her a lift to the next destination.

Interests

I am always busy, and only really take a break if there is someone around to make me stop. I love my garden, and enjoy my work, I have two jobs, I teach Ballroom and Salsa dancing. But my main occupation is in fisheries research so I spend a lot of time near the ocean.

Music, Movies, and Books

I mostly read non fiction, I do read a lot. Music is variable, but I don't listen to the trendy stations with the current 'pop stars' music. I like Classic, Jazz, Blues, Rock n Roll, World music.
Movies prefer something upbeat, and Australian.
