ABOUT ME
I think I can hold my parents responsible for the need to travel te world and see new places and meet new people! I was born in Cameroun, Africa, where I unfortunately only lived 3 months before my parents had to come back to Holland. However, growing up I always heard stories about Africa and my desire to see other places in the world started to grow. I'm an open person, interested in doing new things and going on new adventures.
PHILOSOPHY
Living in the moment! Sounds corny I know.. but it's pretty hard for me sometimes to try not to control everything. I always want to know what, how, why etc. But because of that sometimes miss beautiful moments. So, try to live more in the moment and just enjoy everything
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
When I'm in Rotterdam I try to host people as much as I can. I'm pretty busy at the moment with working and an internship but I try to reply as quick as I can.
Interests
Travelling, reading, cooking. I love going to new countries and eat the local food! In Indonesia I did a cooking class, learning to make sweet and sour tempeh, peanutsauce, balinese curry and so on. It was good fun!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
- When I was in the Philipines my friend and I decided to hitchhike to a mountain for some hiking and camping. We had an amazing ride from a group of 16 and 17 years old girls and boys who were helping out with the upcomming elections. When we arrived in the evening at there place, for them it was a kind of summercamp they were doing, they asked us to stay the night. We did and it was amazing. The people in the Philipines are so friendly and they took such good care of us. When we asked them why they were so friendly and open to us they replied: because in the philipines we like to have big families and tonight you are our family.
- Traveling by horse to the reindeerpeople, a remote tribe in Mongolia. They still live in Teepee's and have reindeerd. Reindeerd! They excist!
Teach, Learn, Share
Open-minded, friendly and generous people. In so many Asian countries people just open their house for you; always inviting you to come over for dinner and stay the night. Traveling makes me conscious about the fact that so many people are too keen on their privacy in Holland, including me. I would like to change that a little.
Countries I’ve Visited
Cambodia, China, France, Germany, Indonesia, Mongolia, Philippines, Portugal, Spain, Uganda, United States, Viet Nam
