CURRENT MISSION
explore, live and laugh, and learn :)
ABOUT ME
Hi. My name is Kim. After I finished college in California I decided to teach English in France for one year. I lived in Paris for about a year and half, teaching high-school age students English and discovering the amazing city. I loved my time in Paris and hope to return to live in this city again at some point in my life :) I was lucky enough to be able to travel around Europe before coming back to the US. During my travels I used couch-surfing a bit, always with the best results.
Now I am living in Boston in my native state of Massachusetts. I'm still a member of couch-surfing because I hope to do lots more traveling, and of course make use of this wonderful network for meeting people and traveling cheap (and authentic).
PHILOSOPHY
Well, my personal philosophy is always evolving and becoming more coherent and eloquent, but at the moment I would say it is to be the best person I can be and always exist as my true self. I also live to create beauty through the reflection of reality in art, and also for the people who I love - especially my two awesome sisters.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I have so far only had two couchsuring experiences and both were so positive that I have decided to try for some more! At the moment I am unable to host because I will soon be out of my apartment and leading the backpacker's life. I will participate by being a respectful guest in whomever's home I stay and willing to learn about other cultures and share my own :)
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I stayed with Thierry and Marion in Ajaccio, Corsica. We had a great time in their beautiful apartment and their kindness has inspired me to continue with more couchsurfing.
I stayed in Amsterdam with Jeunnesse, during the world cup of summer 2010. We had a great time watching the match with her friends.
Interests
I enjoy reading, writing, meeting new people, trying new kinds of food, downhill skiing, sailing, cycling, being outside and being active! As a writer I look forward to publishing short stories and eventually a novel. I am a pretty easy going person who is always up for a good time. I also love to discuss and debate about all sorts of topics, from art to music, culture, sports, and of course, literature.
