About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Aspire to do good. Make today even better than yesterday. Never stop learning.
ABOUT ME
I've lived many different places in the world, but I’ve always had my base in Aalborg.
I consider myself to be a very open minded being, with an easy and intelligent approach to life and most things in it. I love to learn new things and I’m very curious. I am allergic to small talk, and I don’t really do taboos – yet I (can be) quite well-mannered and I always aspire not to offend (though some of my art might push your sense of propriety). I have a great circle of friends in all ages and from all parts of the world.
I'm into culture, history, architecture, books, people, art, design, cooking and good wine and lots more. I know a great deal about the country I live in and its history as well as its politics.
I speak English as well as most Scandinavian languages - If I absolutely must, I can get by in German, and I’m learning Spanish.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I host as often as I can.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Experienced host. - Have had many different people stay with me. - My overall experience is very positive! - I love meeting interesting people, and CS certainly provides opportunity for this. I'm a very BIG fan of CS and the possibilities it provides. And I'm very pleased to say, that so far, in the many many guests I've hosted - I've (almost) only had positive experiences.
The very real and genuine cultural exchange that surfing/hosting is - is very stimulating, educational and really does broaden your horizon - if you dear. For this reason, I’m NOT a big fan of “stop-and-go” surfers who are mainly after a free place to stay – we have excellent hostels for that. If you’re not invested in the CS project, I’m not the host for you.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I once met the Emperor of Japan and shook his hand. I also met the former King of Jordan, had cucumber sandwiches with the Duke of Westminster, had tea with the president of Russia and met a great many other grand people. And of cause our own queen of Denmark on several accounts.
I’ve given a speech in the Russian duma and in the European parliament.
I’ve written two books on pedagogies of working with teenagers and in less than one year given more than 150 speeches throughout Denmark and Europe.
I’ve thought a class in minus 40 degrees Celsius in Greenland once.
…and I’ve done all of the above before I turned 25!
I apologise in advance if this seems dreadfully snobbish and arrogant. But I hardly ever get to tell all of this, and when the field said: “Amazing Thing Done/Seen” – I just couldn’t resist myself.
- sorry… :-)
