Overview
About Me
I'm a dual career ESL teacher (when abroad) and Social Worker (when im in the US). I'm currently teaching at a university in Riyadh. Education and traveling are my two biggest passions. Between studying abroad, hitchhiking across 2 continents, work exchanges and teaching ESL, I have visited 30-35 different countries. I stayed in some of these countries for less than a few hours, and others for up to a year! I have couchsurfed in many countries and am happy to be in a situation where I can host others.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
When I first joined almost 10 years ago, couchsurfing was about saving money. Now, Couchsuring (both the concept and the actual website) has become one of the many beautiful ways to see the world. I absolutely love the idea of being in a new place and meeting a stranger who is kind (or intrigued) enough to invite me into their homes. I have so much to learn from others, and I hope you can learn something from me as well.
Interests
Above all, I love learning and travelling. I love the adventure kind of travelling that includes hitchhiking, sleeping behind bushes, and eating dinner with the woman I met in the train station. I am fascinated with languages, and currently learning my third. I'm also a huge naturalist. I love all things herb and homemade.

Music, Movies, and Books
I dont watch a lot of TV or movies, but my favorite books are The Glass Castle and anything written by Jodi Picoult
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
One time I smuggled chicken nuggets onto a boat in my underwear.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you English or some Spanish! I would love to learn a few words of your language, and I would love to share stories , theories, and opinions of the world
What I Can Share with Hosts
I have some pretty rad travel stories, I can cook you a delicious meal (or take you out if we're feeling lazy 😂) and I'm a great debater. Also, as someone who has hosted myself, I can completely understand when someone is kind enough invite someone into their home, but is also busy with their own things. I love when hosts are able to show me around but completely get it when they are busy or need their space
