About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Dare to reach out your hand into the darkness, to pull another hand into the light

ABOUT ME

Hi, I'm Kimberley and I'm a pretty normal citizen of the world. I work a full time-job, hobhies and am going through life's normal stages- Nothing special!

However, the best and most memorable time in my life for feeling free, independent and open to adventure was when I quit my job and went backpacking solo for 22 months to 3 continents, over 10 countries and numerous amazing times. I feel this was the best time in my life for personal growth and the feelings and experiences I had will be with me for life.

I like to replicate this when I can and attempt to travel, when time permits.
I'm a big believe in make your own luck in this world by being proactive and imaginative and making opportunities happen.- such as travel or personal growth.

Couch surfing played a fundamental part in my travel, and a locals knowledge definitely made it more enriched. I like to take at least one piece of knowledge from each host I meet, as we can all learn something from each other. Traveler or host.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I participate by attending couch surfing meetings and meeting fellow surfers and giving them help and advice about our city.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

All positive experiences have been had, with an amazing sense of a global community felt. It has been humbling to see how friendly, supportive and helpful CS are, making me really believe in the good in humanity. It really hasn't been so much the places we have been, but the people who hosted us that made our trip a success!

Interests

On the weekend I like to explore the many walking and hiking trails around Adelaide. Attend local markets and rummaging the opportunity stores for bargains, going cycling around her city and I love visiting different zoos and animal sanctuaries in other county's if possible. I also make my own Kombucha and other home-made things that keep my busy.

Music, Movies, and Books

I don't watch movies very often, I prefers to read non-fiction books and listen to pop/dance music that helps get me outside in the park for walk.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I learnt to ski in Canada (having never seen snow).
Been to 3 of the biggest water falls in the world, Iguazu, Niagra and Victoria.
Hike for 5 days to La Ciudad Perdida, Lost City Trek – Columbia

Teach, Learn, Share

I want to teach you some Australian slang!
Learn something from each couch surfing participant.
Share some good food and times with people from all cultures and corners of the world.
