About Me

I'm an Australian/multicultural media artist and researcher.

In August 2019, I'll be moving to Boulder, Colorado to do a PhD in emergent technologies and media arts practices.

I'm into deep conversation, whether it be on science, technology, art, culture - I just value good communication. I'm laid back and non-discriminative. I'm clean, energetic and mature. I don't have much fear- this can lead me into trouble. I have a lot of worldly experiences, artist residencies, internships, studying in Germany and the Netherlands, working on events etc. On the weekends I'm usually doing visuals for parties and events, urban exploring or hiking. I make music videos for fun and write poetry.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I have a knack for finding interesting places to stay. It's rare that I do the actual couch thing in a home although I'm totally cool with that as we are all here to have somewhere to sleep. These spaces are usually art centres, music studios, and workshops where I participate and help out as a community member.

It's nice to organise and plan adventures with hosts, but it's nicer to see where the connection goes. I don't believe people should have expectations of their couchsurfers to do what they want, and vice versa. Let's keep it cool and spontaneous.

I will work in exchange for a private room with a bed. Videography, graphic design, communications, house painting, cleaning, pet-sitting, etc. I am NOT open to romantic exchanges and I am not a physically affectionate person. I am not single and my partner is moving to Boulder later on. I've been doing living exchanges around the world since I was 16 - I'm nearly 30 now, and I've encountered some unusual expectations so please don't host me if you have those. Happy to work with my brain, creativity and hands though!

I don't have many references here, but I can provide some from elsewhere. Also, check my airbnb profile. https://www.airbnb.com/users/show/1564705

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I walked from Polymer Culture Factory in Tallinn, Estonia to Totaldobze artist center in Riga, Latvia in 10 days. It was a "performance art-walk" which I video documented, live updated online, and wrote poetry along the way. The purpose was symbolic of the extreme effort the artists centres to keep their doors open! And also to increase ties between the two very similar (but sometimes conflicting) centers. Here's a preview.

The life and adventures of Disaster Girl- one of many projects of mine, but the most engaging.

Poetry.

Washing up- To be totally honest- I'm not really interested in cooking. Just eating ;)
