I am currently in transition--but I tend to disrupt my life once a year for a new job or school or home. I just returned to Minnesota, and I'm in a new graduate program--this time studying Forensic Psychology. I'm a Soldier in the Army Reserves and have to deploy again in the spring. I am looking for work at Mayo Clinic. I've had over 25 jobs and found the most satisfaction working in the mental health field. I've traveled to over 60 countries, and love to talk about where other people have been. I have a million hobbies and love to try new ones.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm thrifty....but really it's a much better memory to go somewhere and meet someone new than to stay in a boring hotel.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like going to the library and grabbing a dozen cds I've never heard of and sampling them. I guess I like emo folksy music best. My favorite singer is Brandi Carlile.
I have seen more movies than anyone I've ever met. I am both proud and embarrassed by this. I don't want to be a total couch potato so I watch a lot of movies on my phone at the gym. Favorites? Spy Games, Late for Dinner, Breakfast at Tiffany's, About Time, The Constant Gardener, Australia, The Interpreter, Out of Africa, Beyond Borders, Blood Diamonds, The Libeled Lady...
I read about 4 books at once. My favorite book is "Fall on Your Knees" by Ann Marie MacDonald....but I recommend it to everyone, and they all hate it. I read everything by Jodi Picoult, Chris Cleve, Chris Bohjalian, Alice Hoffman, and Dave Eggers.
