About Me

Let's meet together for a tête-à-tête and learn about about each other in real time.

~ Pour des trois mois, j'ai passé beaucoup de temps à pratiquer et à apprendre les rudiments du français.

Parlez-moi en français lors de mon voyage en France (ce septembre 2018). Je veux apprendre. S'il vous plait et merci ! :) ~

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Simply said, I love people! I find that relating with people is the most enriching experience life affords us. If I travel all of the world only to see the sights, I personally believe I will come home empty. I am traveling to see how other people live life and I am excited to take a glimpse into the scope of another person's lens. I feel that Couch Surfing is an awesome means to that end.

Additionally, if I expect to be hosted and a good guest I want to be sure I'm opening up my own home too.

Interests

I'm easily entertained by whatever is in front of me. If it's a common dragonfly I want to know all about it: who named it that and why, how does it fly forward then backward and seemingly stop mid-flight as if it's defiying the laws of gravity... If it's a flower, pondering the ways it's pleasing to my senses and also thinking of ways in which plants play a huge role in sustaining life by photosynthesis. Again it's awe-inspiring to think that plants are like complicated machines converting sunlight into chemical energy yet do so much more after that. To me, even just plain old dirt is something to be marvelled over - it's funny to think how mud can be inspiring to create beautiful pieces of art; from the carved out valleys of the grand canyon to simple castles built by children in the sand!

I guess that I could have just summarized this entire paragraph in one word: nature

I helped assist an alpaca giving birth years ago when I worked on an alpaca farm

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you about various methods of brewing artisian coffee

I can teach you technical skills of using a camera manually; as well as offer up my services! If you are a photographer, you know well that learning the trade is never-ending and I would love to learn from you.

Just for the fun of it, if you like thinking about psychology, I can teach you the four medieval personality temperaments and maybe together we can even determine yours. It's always a fun topic!

I am always ready to teach and learn a new game!
