ABOUT ME

I work virtually from my computer as the Marketing Director for a publishing company. I grew up in Albuquerque, New Mexico and graduated from university with a degree in Philosophy. I love long conversations and good coffee. I am creative and spontaneous, but I love to take it slow when I travel and soak up the city I am in. I enjoy museums and monuments and churches as much as the next traveler, but I also enjoy winding walks or long lunches in cafes.

PHILOSOPHY

This is a little long winded, but I think of it often:

"A man traveling across a field encountered a tiger. He fled, the tiger after him. Coming to a precipice, he caught hold of the root of a wild vine and swung himself down over the edge. The tiger sniffed at him from above. Trembling, the man looked down to where, far below, another tiger was waiting to eat him. Only the vine sustained him. Two mice, one white and one black, little by little started to gnaw away the vine. The man saw a luscious strawberry near him. Grasping the vine with one hand, he plucked the strawberry with the other. How sweet it tasted!".

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am new to couchsurfing! I have several friends who have used it and love it! I love the idea of meeting new people in the city they live in. I love to cook :)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I really like couchsurfing! It is a different feel than a hostel and I feel like I get much more connected to the city I am when I'm couchsurfing.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

When I was in Morocco I changed my plans last minute to go to the Taragalte music festival. It was the most authentic, local experience I've ever had. I drank tea in a tent with locals, listened to amazing music, watched shooting stars from a sand dune, and rode a camel back into town under a full moon.
