About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Training for my 2nd marathon!

ABOUT ME

I come from a family of 6, not including the various pets!

I'm living a border line ski bum life in Vail, Colorado, and I LOVE IT.

Someday you'll be reading my best selling novel.

PHILOSOPHY

Where there is a will there is a way!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm still just getting started. We had two Australians stay with me this Christmas which was a lot of fun, and hopefully they enjoyed snowmobiling and shooting guns with my family!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My sister & I met up with a guy in Athens who we shared stories & the traditional drink raki with.
I had a 24 hour layover in Zurich and got to spend the night with a student, which was much better than staying at airport alone!
I hosted 3 different people over the summer, with one terrible experience. Since then I'm taking a break from overnight visitors for a bit.

Interests

Sports, running, lifting.
Reading, learning, traveling, taking pictures, climbing trees, trying every item at every restaurant, learning Spanish, travel, decorating for holidays, finding new ways to drink tequila, chilling with animals, playing cards, dancing in thunderstorms, jokes, being near fire, ice cream!

Music, Movies, and Books

Once I finish it, I will proudly say that I mastered Atlas Shrugged. I like to end my day by reading poetry, and I have many books and collections of it.

Sadly, lately, I've been really bored with movies. My old standbys are: Zoolander, Braveheart, Goonies, Mean Girls, Love Actually, Crash, Lion King.
I just saw Up In The Air and I thought that was both sad and good.

I don't have TV, but I'll watch some shows online.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

When I was in Switzerland with my family, we took what we thought was going to be an easy hike to "Heididorf" which is "Heidi Village" I think-- from the famous book. Turns out the hike too ALL DAY. (maybe we got lost) We went through every season- brilliant sun, snowfall, fall leaves, and chilly/warm spring. When we finally made it to Heidi's supposed cabin at the top.. we found men (homeless?) inside drinking and eating. Sadly none of us spoke German so interaction was limited to us begging for water. (They only had beer) I just found out it was the first time my then 15-year-old cousin got drunk.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you how to properly handle your animals, from cats to cattle. I can show you the correct way to shoot a foul shot in basketball. I can take you hiking through the beautiful trails of Acadia National Park, and we'll end up at a secret swimming pond. I can also take you biking through the amazing carriage trails, which I run/bike on all summer. Also, I throw a fantastic party. (its in the family genes to have a good time)

Currently I can show you the best tree runs on Vail mountain! Lift shortcuts, and cheapest place for a après beer... Just don't ask me to drop Hollywood cliffs with you. (Maybe in a few years)
