ABOUT ME

After living for the first five years of my life in Russia I moved with my parents to Germany where I grew up. During my last year of high school I started my iPhone app development business, which gave me the financial freedom and location independent job to travel through Asia, New Zealand and Australia for almost two years.
It was an amazing time in which I learned to love backpacking and travelling on my own. It was my crazy time in which I partied, chased girls and got crazy. At the end of it I met my current girlfriend and calmed down a bit and settled down. And even though I am not going as crazy anymore as before, I still do love a good party and doing crazy stuff!

Once I was back to Germany, I just couldn't manage to stay and moved to Hong Kong with my girlfriend where I am currently living.

I love to experience, eat and do crazy things. Among other things I have done more than 10 bungee jumps, eaten uncooked octopus that was still moving and I am always up for whatever

But travelling and going crazy are not the only things I am interested in, I love to talk about politics, the economy (which is DOOOMED *crazy voice* btw. ;) ) and personal liberty and freedom.

In my teen years I was a hacker and computer nerd, which still shows in my programing interest as well as EVERYTHIG gadgets. Even now I will be probably the biggest nerd you have ever met :D

PHILOSOPHY

I am a very freedom loving person and I am trying to design my life to be as little tied down as possible. All of my possessions fit into my bag and my backpack, my job is location independent. I can be whenever I want, wherever I want and I put a lot of effort into increasing this flexibility.

I don't like governments, religions or any institutions which try to limit, control, or tell me what to do in any way. Although I do like the buddhist philosophy!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have always wanted to couchsurf during my travels, but I since in the past few years I have always either lived at my parents home in a boring little town or didn't have my own place, I could never host anyone.

I just felt it wasn't fair to use other people's couches if I couldn't offer one myself to anyone.

Well... guess what!!! Now that I moved to HK, I can and I am looking forward to host some of you and in the future be a surfer myself.

Teach, Learn, Share

I am very technology interested and can help and teach you many things. Mostly in the Mac/iPhone/Unix world. Windows and Android drive me fucking crazy so I do not do anything with that.

I am also very interested in economy and love discussing where our world is going in the future.
