About Me

Hi!

If you don't give evidence you have read my profile, you will be denied. Sorry. If you can't take a minute to read about me, you should stay elsewhere. That being said, we love to make new friends, if only for a brief time. The house is 0.8 mi from the bart station, so definitely walkable.

I give back to my hosts and not just take. Please be the same.

I like to connect with new people from my travels and hopefully meet new friends. I stayed with a really nice girl in Palermo for my first couchsurfing and she really turned me on to this because I had such a great time with her. The more I travel, I get the feeling that it's less going through a check list of - yup, I've seen the Eiffel tower, I've seen Big Ben, I've seen the Duomo, the Last Supper, etc - it is about really experiencing the local people, culture, and food. I've seen enough tourist sites, cathedrals, duomos, ruins, etc to last a lifetime. It's more important to meet kind people and make connections - if even for just for a short while. Who knows, we may meet again in another side of the world!

(note: I am NOT looking to date or couch-sexing, if you are not on here just to meet new friends without any other motives, please do not offer to host. I am sorry i have to write this, but I cannot leave this assumed after some unpleasant experiences)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

That feeling where you have only known someone 2 days or less and you are sad about parting. I look forward to hosting fellow travelers who take the spirit of CS to heart. I like to host people who are vibrant, energetic, and fun.

If you are new to CS and have no references, please read these articles:
http://matadornetwork.com/life/18-ways-piss-everybody-couchsurfing/
http://www.thecrowdedplanet.com/simple-guide-couchsurfing-guests/

I will give preference to those who actually read the profile and don't just request a place to stay through copy/paste. During the week, my schedule is out by 7:30am, in bed by 10:30. If you like to party late and sleep in, please find a host that can accommodate that schedule. When I surf, I adhere to my host's schedule and those whom I host should take my schedule into account. I also like to give and not just take. It is not about a place to sleep and a free tour guide; it is about community. Remember what is happening. You(and I) are asking a stranger to take us in - this is a very special relationship. If you expect to get keys to an apartment and come and go as you please, by all means, find a host who can accommodate that. Those who only want to surf and never host, please find a hostel/hotel.

In the first line, please tell me your favorite country you visited and the country with your favorite food! This way I know you have read this and both our expectations are met.

Finally, no, cannot bring a guy/girl you met at the club/bar/disco back to my place for Borat style sexy time. Or any sexy time for that matter. This ain't yo momma's house or a brothel!

Teach, Learn, Share

I am happy to find others who want to converse in English to improve their English speaking skills

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'm happy to buy my host dinner/lunch/coffee/drinks so we can share a meal and some fun conversations. I like to give back to my hosts and not just take.

I also love telling others about all the things to do in CA and the Bay Area. It is a really amazing area and there is SO much to do out side of SF. In fact, the really great things are outside of the city itself.
