About Me
CURRENT MISSION
exploring the world, meeting new people, learning about other cultures
I've already been to every continent (except Arctica and Antarctica but that's too cold for me anyways) but since there are sooo many totally different countries on every continent I'm not nearly done! ;)
ABOUT ME
Hey. I´m Kim, born in 1993 and from Germany. I´m a teacher for math and Dutch at a highschool in Germany.
A huge part of my life is being a scout! That´s not only a hobby but also a way of life, so one of my favorite mottos is: "Once a Scout, Always a Scout!" My scout activities involve weekly meetings with children from 10-13 years, where we do a lot of stuff in the nature or just play different active group games inside and outside. Of course we also have a lot of different camps every year.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've used Couchsurfing a lot on my travels in Canada and the US and met so many great people: hosts and especially other travelers. I found people for various road trips on Couchsurfing and had a great time with them!
But I tried to host a guy in Germany and made a bad experience :( I'm more careful now, so if you don't have any references and an empty profile, I'll probably don't answer.
Interests
I love traveling, meeting new people and exploring new cultures and landscapes. There are just sooo many beautiful places on earth to see!

Music, Movies, and Books
There are sooo many great tv shows, of course one of them is Game of thrones!
Harry Potter books (I´m listening to them every night to fall asleep ;)) and other fantasy stuff
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I´ve hiked to the top of mount Fuji (highest mountain of Japan, 3900m) at night to see the sunrise from the top. Altough it was really, really cold at night and I got a little altitude-sick, it was a really great experience.
My 10 weeks backpacking trip through Canada and the states was AMAZING! I saw sooo many beautiful places! My favorites are the National Parks Zion, Brayce, Monument Valley and Grand Canyon. And also the Oregon Coast and the giant Redwood Trees and the nature in West-Vancouver and Vancouver Island! ❤️
The highlights of my 8 weeks south America trip were: swimming with giant turtles on the Caribbean island Curaçao, visiting the palm valley in Colombia's coffee region, floating in the salt lakes in Chile's Atacama desert, biking through the wonderful landscape in Bariloche (Northern Patagonia in Argentina) and the breathtaking Iguazu falls at the border between Argentina and Brasil.
