Originally from Cambodia, I am a graduate student in Singapore now. It is my first time to be on Couchsurfing. Frankly speaking, I have a mixed feeling of excitement and fear. Personally, I think it will be more fun and meaningful to stay with the local and to learn more about real life and culture that books cannot offer.

Meeting the locals and learn about their ways of life. It would be great to build network and exchange ideas. Also, I understand how it feels to live within certain budget, but still eager to see how big the world is. In plus, Singapore is an expensive city;therefore, it is important to reduce unnecessary cost on accommodation.
