About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Always seeking. Always learning. Forever yearning to travel.

ABOUT ME

I am a student of life, always trying to grow past the constraints of societies restrictions. I'm an avid rock climber, outdoor enthusiast, novice foodie, and wannabe mixologist. While I don't travel as aggressively as I used to when I was single, I'm always planning the next adventure.

I'm currently co-authoring a travel book based on our experiences as solo-female travelers. I would love to hear from you!

PHILOSOPHY

I try to live by the words of Max Ehrmann's "Desiderata" - 1927.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've been a lapse member in recent years but would love to reconnect to this amazing community. Since moving up to the metro NYC area, I've gone through periods of struggling to connect with like-minded people. While that is now changing for the better, I'm always excited to offer advice, be inspired, and meet the amazing travelers out there who still believe it's a beautiful world!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

While I didn't have much luck surfing in Spain while walking the Camino de Santiago back in 2010, I did have an amazing rock climbing session with a rad chick in New Zealand.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The experience that sticks with me the most followed an adventurous day skydiving over Christchurch, NZ. A local couple took myself and two others to a nearby roaring river. After about a 1/4 mile hike, we dug a pit in the snow covered river bank, allowed the hot thermal waters to pool, stripped our layers, and sat therein. As the night moved in and the river raged, I stared up in wonder as the Southern Cross settled in overhead and CSNY sang in my head. I was exactly where I was supposed to be!
