I was born in the Netherlands but grew up in Thailand, Nepal and Cambodia. When I was sixteen I returned to the Netherlands to attend music school. I have been making records and traveling/touring as much as I can since then.

I've been part of the band, The Black Atlantic, we have put two records and played shows all over North America, Europe and even China.

I have also put out three albums under my own name, Kim Janssen. You can listen on Spotify or Bandcamp if you're interested. It's quiet, folky stuff, comparable to Sufjan Stevens, Sam Amidon, Bon Iver, The National, Damien Jurado, Iron & Wine, Elliot Smith, Father John Misty, Fleet Foxes.

Jedna niesamowita rzecz, którą zrobiłem(-am)

I recorded a song on the Great Wall Of China with my old band. We were playing in Beijing and ofcourse took the opportunity to go visit the Wall. It was so quiet there that day, we hardly met anyone. The vastness of the landscape and the seemingly endless extent of the wall really made an impression on me.
