About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Finding a couch in Iceland for the trip of our dreams

ABOUT ME

I like to see myself as someone who succeeds in enjoying every experience; the good and the bad. The good ones make me better by giving strenght, the bad ones by learning me something. Laughing is very important to me, because it's so nice to do and helps me to relativize when I'm taking myself too serious. Although I have to admit that I rarely take myself too serious.

I can be really busy, mainly because I love the feeling of being occupied with several things. I've recently discovered that I actually quite suck at 'doing nothing', but I haven't decided yet whether that is a problem or not. I love music, I love all kinds of people and I love to entertain them. That's why I adore my work as radio host at Studio Brussel, a national radio station.

I enjoy travelling with all my heart. Because of the people, the culture, the food, the weather, the nature, the landscape, the animals. So hopefully we meet real soon.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Uptil now I have mainly surfed people's couch. It were all lovely experiences. I have hosted people, but only those who I had already met when I surfed their couch.

I live with my wonderful boyfriend in Ghent in a small appartment and we are planning to host people in the future. We decided to first get used to living with the two of us, before we would welcome other guests. Of course all my hosts are always welcome to be my surfers!

I sometimes try to participate in other CS activities (mainly those in Ghent). For example, my sister and I participated in a hitchhiking contest to Paris. And we won, since a nice gentleman picked us up and drove about 180 km/h. Quite scary, actually!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My first experiences with CS were incredible (in Turkey and Cyprus). It's so nice to meet people with other thoughts, cultures, backgrounds, living places, etc. I've met different kind of people, but they all contribute to a great trip, in their own way.
