Axel and I are settled back in lovely Savannah, GA. Axel is continuing on the road to adventure, so it may appear that we are in 2 places at once!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Back in the day.... Axel and I have both hosted many people without being part of the couchsurfing system. Right now we are meeting wonderful people across the US.

We surf, we host.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We had a great first experience in New Orleans. The folks we stayed with (four people lived there and more friends dropped by) were gracious and flexible with our arrival times. We felt welcome and rested. We've stayed with about 25 different hosts and they've all been great. CS is a fantastic system. We've hosted many times and looking forward to meeting more travelers.

True confession, we have recently re-discovered the joy of "The Rockford Files" via netflix. Gotta love the Firebird and those polyester suits.

Miracle of America Museum in Polson, MT. A huge massive collection of stuff from egg beaters, to antique motorcycles, to a tank.

Wisdom we've learned on the road. Truck drivers shouldn't pick up hitchhikers (insurance, etc) BUT they occasionally will drive you if you ask nicely. These guys are lonely and need someone to talk to. Also they can use the CB to ask other drivers at the truck stop for you.
