Overview
About Me
I left a career in ticketing to return to school. As of November 2016, I finished my studies in business marketing and am currently travelling before I return home to Canada.
I'm a born and bred Calgarian girl, having recently moved to Edmonton, Alberta in search of living somewhere new, but still close to home (and Mom!).
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
My friends told me how awesome this site was for a true travel adventure-- meeting people, making friends, and learning new things. I seek to challenge myself to do this as new experiences add to self growth.
Though I haven't traveled much outside of Canada, I'm proud having been able to visit the west and east coasts of my country.
I'm living with my family and am not in the capacity to host just yet, but I know it would be great to do so someday.
Interests
I love live music, but I have a particular affinity for smaller shows and venues. It is a privilege to be part of a moment in the evolution of an artist.
I like being in the outdoors, particularly in the mountains. During the summer, I like to hike. I have snowshoed and cross-country skiied in wintertime.
I enjoy good food and wine. I have an interest in ethnic food and culture, music and art.

Music, Movies, and Books
MUSIC: I am open to listen to anything-- I love the experience of listening to new music. I have an interest in cultural music and music in foreign languages. My particular go-to's are indie, alternative rock, and heavy metal.
BOOKS: My favourite books are from the Sword of Truth series by Terry Goodkind.
MOVIES: Amelie, The Princess Bride, Ever After, The Young and Prodigious T.S. Spivet, That Thing You Do
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I soared down Fremont Street in Las Vegas on a harness zipline-- it's the closest thing I've gotten to actually flying.
One personal accomplishment I am proud of was going to Vancouver for a solo yoga and float vacation. My friends thought it was crazy but I had a fabulous time.
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm still trying to figure out where I fit in the world. Things happen for a reason, and I'm content to have the universe lead me wherever I need to go.
I'm a fresh and young mind open to new experiences. I believe that the world could always use a little more kindness. I know my worth and I don't compromise my values.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can tell you stories about my hiking adventures in Canada's beautiful wilderness, or about all the concerts I've attended. I am fun, super nice and I love to laugh. I am a good listener and would love to hear your stories.
My favourite part of a house is a kitchen and I love to help (and learn!) in the making of food. :) I am also a fantastic help with the dishes.
