I am a 22 year old student who just finished studying abroad for the past year in Bordeaux, France. I am a pretty laid back person who is always up for meeting new people and having new experiences. I grew up in Santa Cruz CA and have that community to thank for my relaxed personality and open-mindedness ( yes it has a pretty strong hippie vibe). I also grew up in a family who appreciated the pricelessness of traveling to new places and all the memories and experiences that come with it. I caught the travel bug at an early age and am excited to discover more of the world!
Other random tid-bits: I love animals and pets and have had them my whole life (the record at one point was 6 cats, 2 dogs, and 1 bunny), I took a gap year when I graduated high school so I could travel and do some volunteer work, and I have a weird talent of finding four leaf clovers (if your lucky enough I may even find one while I stay with you :) ).

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I think one of the most valuable things about traveling and exploring is interacting and meeting people along the way, whether they be fellow travelers, locals, or anyone in between. Each person has their own unique story and perspective and I find it fascinating and love hearing about all the different ways people choose to enjoy life.

Interests

I'd say that I have a strange mixture of interests that when looking at them side to side would seem to clash. I really enjoy playing sports and being active, whether that be playing for a team or just going out for a hike I am in! I've played football( or as us americans call it soccer) since I was a kid and started playing rugby at university. I love the team spirit and physicality of these sports. I also enjoy nothing more than grabbing a pint at a bar and watching a match. And then there's the other side of me that can sit for hours on end reading a good book or doodling or drawing or just getting in touch with my more artistic side. I've dabbled in film photography and ceramics and just really enjoy using my hands to create something.
