Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I got to know about couchsurfing from a friend years ago, and started actively hosting people around 2013/2014, with a little bit of surfing myself later on.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I hosted a lot more than I surfed, most of my guests were nice, interesting and open minded, having that one average/bad experience was inevitable tho. Meeting people from whole different places is always a pleasure, you learn about things you never knew existed, share ideas, thoughts and opinions, which is the real essence of the couchsurfing.

Music, Movies, and Books

I don't have a specific favorite type of music, I like pretty much anything that sounds nice to my ears and goes well with my current mood, whether it is oldies, pop, rock, electrical, or even video game and movie themes ! I've read many many books - mostly when I was a kid - for numerous authors, including Charles Dickens, Jules Verne, Alexandre Dumas, and a lot more ! as well as a bunch of medical books, obviously :D

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Seeing midnight sun and northern lights, and swimming in freezing-cold water right after coming out of a hot sauna! All in Finland !

Teach, Learn, Share

I can always teach you an Arabic word or two :D I'm always up to having a meaningful conversation, just as long as you're social, respectable, open minded and willing to share your thoughts and opinions. If I would name one thing that I've learned that greatly affected my life, it would be the fact that everyone sees things differently based on their own thoughts, culture and life experience, hence you should never judge anyone based on how they think or what they believe in, regardless of how different it can be from your own thoughts and beliefs.
