About Me
ABOUT ME
Living in a small rural medieval hamlet of just 35 inhabitants nested between two national parks on the Etruscan coast of Tuscany.
After years of living in busy metropolitan cities (working for all the major environmental NGOs, like Greenpeace, Friends of the Earth, WWF, etc) I chose a more hermit style of life, returning to Nature and to a closer relationship with animals.
Here I teach yoga and run shamanic and deep ecology courses, typically with a queer undertone.
I spend most of my time practicing yoga, reading & writing, and volunteering at the local animal shelters. Animals have been my greatest teachers in life and helping them when I can is my way to say "thank you".
As for couchsurfing, I would enjoy very much making friends with people either connected to, or interested in, the activist and art scene.
Half English and half Italian, I have lived a little all over the place (Italy, UK, US, France, Belgium, Netherlands, Germany...).

Music, Movies, and Books
I am an addict to Virginia Woolf. However, addiction allowing, I do also read Sartre, Burroughs, Cunningham, Coe, Genet, Fitzgerald and essays on political, philosophical and literary topics... You'll find me most of time reading either on my hammock or on my boat moored to some willow tree in the East of Amsterdam. ;-)
Cinema-wise, I'm particularly into art house cinema, from unknown directors to more arty-farty Goddar, Truffaut, von Trier and the like. Amongst my favourite films: The Hours, In the Mood for Love, Dogville, Fahrenheit 451, A bout de souffle, Theorema, and so many others...
Into alternative music, I am particularly fan of Antony and the Jonsons, Coco Rosie, Cat Power, Rufus Wainright, Tim and Jeff Buckley, Lou Reed, David Bowie, Devendra Banhard, Jesse Sykes, Andrew Bird, Arcade Fire, Bonnie Prince Billy, etc, etc, but also contemporary classical music (ie: Philip Glass) and Baroque music (Vivaldi, Pergolesi, Scarlatti, ...)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I'll tell you about if I feel I can trust you ;)
What I Can Share with Hosts
